For some, a broader definition of housing includes more than just rental cost.
It also includes energy, water, transportation and healthcare – where in many cases the location has impact on Indoor Air Quality.

Many of the skills he learned and knowledge he acquired in the course of his career as a HERS rater now come into play in the assessment of affordable housing.
